The Perks of Being a Wallflower has finally become a movie. The Perks of Being a Wallflower was written by Stephen Chbosky and is about introverted freshman "Charlie" and the awkward and messed up experiences throughout high school, Charlie also has a bad mental state caused by childhood traumas and how he is saved by the misfit seniors. The book is something that every teenager who is lost should read. It is my bible, and I cant remember a time before reading it.
I like the concept of a wallflower. "You see things, you understand, you say nothing." It is amazing how Charlie just sees things his sister, Patrick and Sam do, and keep them quiet. He just wants them to like him, and for them to be safe, and the two conflict.
The best part of the novel has to be the poem though. I cry every time I read it, because I feel like it sums up life so perfectly.
All in all, read the book then see the movie. DO IT
