Pursuit of Happiness

According to my friends, I have the most bizarre taste in music ever, as it varies genres. I can be a country obsessed one week, and an rap fan the next. I'd just like to post music I am currently into at that point of time. I dont own any of the videos! They are belonging to each artist and record company and director

I  had the amazing opportunity to see Simple Plan and We the Kings live on friday. NO REGRETS. They were both absolutely amazing. Terrific performers

Today, I thought I'd post my favourite slow sad songs as Miserable at Best by Mayday Parade and Remembering Sunday by All Time Low are just those songs that are constantly stuck in my head. Especially Miserable at Best.

Remembering Sunday is about the guy in the song is looking for this girl, the love of his life, desperately wanting her, craving her. He's looking and looking for her but he can't find her because she died. (Hence when the girl in the song is singing about being at home in the clouds and how she's so many thousands of feet off the ground, and so on.)

Actually, I think she killed herself. Because the lyrics are "Im not coming back, ive done something so terrible" and the way that makes the rest of the lyrics after that sound seems like suicide.
I actually tear up every time I listen to it.
I also absolutely adore Miserable at Best. There is this part I cant get past, " And this will be the first time in a week, That I'll talk to you, And I can't speak, It's been three whole days since I've had sleep, Because I dream of his lips on your cheek, And I got the point that I should leave you alone, But we both know that I'm not that strong, And I miss the lips that made me fly"
Anyway, the song is about a guy who  was going off to the military at the Ocala Military base (ocala is calling). He and his girlfriend were together for 4 years, and he was only gone for 4 months and she cheated on him. The song is pretty much how he can't trust her again, even though he loves her so much, and that she promised that everything was going to be okay, she still ended up cheating.

a Vie en Rose by Edith Piaf holds many memories for me. Our year nine French class had to perform it to raise funds for the trip to France the following year. It was a laugh. Last year, on the trip, we were on a cruise down the River Seine. Our first boat had broken down so we had to board another one.

We were halfway down the river cruise, which was rather quiet, when this song came on. I was sitting next to Sophie, and we began to sing. The elder French women on the cruise joined us. On the other side of the boat, Soph and I hear voices. It's our friends, who also began singing.

Needless to say, it was awesome and I will forever cherish that memory.

 Ed Sheeran

I missed out on tickets to this lovely gentleman's show on Monday, but he is an absolutely artist. He is a British singer/song writer who has captured hearts.

Fate is keeping us a part, as this is the second time I have missed an opportunity to see him perform.

I love you, Nicki.

 YOU ME AT SIX

I have been in love with You Me At Six since I saw them play live with Paramore in 2010. It was at the Big Top at Luna Park. My first real proper punk rock concert. I don't know what it was, but I really connected with the songs and the band made the energy electric.

 ONE DIRECTION

In the spirit of getting One Direction tickets this afternoon, I thought it would be appropriate to post their music video to "One Thing."

Most, actually all, of my friends despise them. They say that they shouldn't be taken seriously as artists and are rubbish, along with many other insults and slurs.

However, I can't help but like them. They won my heart on X Factor UK in 2010 with their wicked performances and hilarious video diaries.

They're unbelievable catchy.

It also helps that they are also very attractive, young English and Irish males! hahahahaha.
